Princess Jolie of the Lace Kingdom is a member of the Cursed Princess Club that has curse related to eyes.
Appearance[]
Jolie has shoulder-length gray hair with bangs covering her forehead (later on in the series, her hair gets slightly wavier). Her eyes were bright pink, fading into a light yellow; now, her eye sockets are empty, and there are small cracks protruding from them. She covers her sockets with an eye mask, of which she has multiple with different eye shapes that she likes to change. They all depict light pink eyes (which look similar to how her original eyes appeared before they were taken by The Dealer). Her eye sockets are full of random objects, and she frequently takes off her mask to search things inside them. Somehow, they can also glow, and even produce enough light to be used like spotlights.[1][2]
Jolie wears a number of different outfits across the series, but they are typically consist of lacy white dresses with lavender accents. Her gala outfit is a knee-length frayed dress with open shoulder and hints of reddish tint that similar with blood, and accompanied with red tears makeup around her eye socket. In the physical book, Jolie's accessories are slightly different. The crown she uses in earlier episodes has a less detailed pattern, she has longer earrings composed of flowers with a teardrop at the end, and she now simply wears a strip of lace around her neck.

Personality[]
Jolie is kind, composed, and cheerful - this is her public mask. She seems soft-spoken, and is one of the more quiet members out of the main CPC members. She was very welcoming and friendly to Gwendolyn when she first joined the club and often made physical contact with her, unintentionally making Nell jealous. While she is protective of Nell, and the rest of the club, Jolie isn't confrontational. Even if she is visibly upset at someone, she never acts aggressively, as many of the other members sometimes do. However, she has a hidden mask which is very capable of acting creepy or mysterious, perhaps to tease the other club members (Saffron) or to unintentional or intentional scare strangers, such as the builders sent to repair the mansion, or the bullies at the Gala. She's also a fashionista and cares about her looks, as one of the member that using makeups (her wish over Abbi's 24 hours reversal potion is to be able using mascara). Her makeup collection is vast but with unique name, which used for disguising Whitney to be convincing Gwendolyn's Dinner Party's guest with the most pastiest concealer tone that she has - "Yeti Who Just Saw a Ghost" - which succesfully hiding his tiger stripes until the end.
History[]
Before Princess Jolie was born, a fire had blazed through all of the Lace Kingdom citizens' homes, crops, and livestock. The Lace King and Queen expended their entire kingdom's savings to provide their citizens with shelter and food. However, they soon ran out of money, so they were unable to feed them for another day. The king was even contemplating selling his organs when a mysterious man wearing sunglasses suddenly appeared in the Lace Palace, though the guards couldn't recollect letting him enter. The man introduced himself as a simple dealer who came with an offer. He claimed that he could bring great health and abundance to their entire kingdom, their citizens, and their crops as early as the next day, and he would only take a small fee, which wasn't monetary.
"And it's not produce I've come to collect ... it's your daughter's beautiful eyes."
The king was suspicious, so he questioned the dealer's logic, comparing his offer to a deal with the devil. The dealer replied that his price was simply that, once their kingdom had grown a bountiful harvest, he would get to have his pick of the finest items. Despite still being dubious about the deal, the king was quite desperate due to his kingdom's current state and circumstances, so he agreed, and the dealer vanished. Just as he had vowed, their kingdom's fortune began turning around: crops began slowly rising from the soil, and health and prosperity seemed to grow everywhere in the kingdom as the months went by, eventually including life within the palace as well, as Jolie was finally born.
Six months after her birth, the dealer suddenly crawled out of a pot of mashed peas the queen was warming up to collect his fee. The king offered to give him some of their best produce, but the dealer rejected this; stating that the agreement was that he would have his pick of the finest items, and he wanted Jolie's eyes. The king and queen were horrified, the king reminding him of how he had promised it wasn't a deal with the devil. The dealer responded that he had promised he wouldn't take any souls, and took off his sunglasses, revealing that he didn't have any eyes. He then decided that, as Jolie's eyes were still too pink for him, he would come back at the stroke of midnight in 6 years, 6 months, and 6 days. Exactly 6 years, 6 months, and 5 days later, Jolie's father ordered all of the Lace Kingdom's guards to stand outside and inside of her bedroom, and fastened a steel-plated eye mask against Jolie's face. However, at the stroke of midnight, she saw a hand reach toward her eyes from the darkness, and it plucked them out.

Nell[]
Main: See Jolie/Nell Princess Jolie is currently engaged to Nell. Out of her fellow members, Jolie seems to especially care a lot for Nell, particularly when Nell is suffering from having one of her premonitions. Jolie is very gentle towards Nell, and they are both often seen standing next to each other. She adores Nell, blushing at Nell's public declaration that she was her girlfriend. She doesn't seem to mind making public displays of affection towards Nell, such as using an eye mask to 'wink' at her[3], and "making googly-eyes" at Nell (according to Nell), despite not having eyes. As of Episode 129, Nell and Jolie are engaged - Nell intending to ask for the permission of Jolie's parents first, but Jolie being the one to pop the question.
Jolie's Parents - the Lace Kingdom's rulers[]
Jolie's parents, the King and the Queen of the Lace Kingdom, are loving Jolie so much since she's born and even as she getting cursed (she's never blamed to gets cursed as her curse is part of the deal to saves her whole kingdom). Her mother directly cooks her baby foods, instead orders servants to do it. Her father is loving her so much, he even not hesitates to sacrifice his eyes in order for Jolie's eyes aren't taken. Although Jolie is the sole heir of the Lace Kingdom, she's never pressured for typical princess royalty life to be "perfect" on eye of future suitor as shown implicitly by her parents totally okay with Jolie the one that proposing to a girl (in homophobic situation, that situation will angered the parents of sole heir that can't have future progeny from same sexual gender marriage) - and instead genuinely very happy for Jolie.
Prez (Calpernia)[]
Jolie is one of the early member of the CPC that Prez recruits, and she's very grateful to be part of the club so she could grows closer to Nell that she fell in love at first sight. Although the two is lacking interaction, but Jolie helds Prez in high regard while on fair judgement. Jolie is the one that pointing out that one of Prez' flaw is too hardheaded over her established decision, but it's understable because born from Prez wants to protects all members of the club. Jolie also reassuring Prez at Episode 137 about CPC as a whole didn't need to be perfect, they are just want a place to become themself which Prez established.

Princess Jolie seems to be close friends with Thermidora, as they often sit next to each other and spectate the club's antics together.
Gwendolyn[]
Princess Jolie and Princess Gwendolyn are good friends. When Gwendolyn joined the club, Jolie gave her her nightgown and would frequently make physical contact with her. This unintentionally made Nell jealous of Gwendolyn. Otherwise, Jolie and Gwen often chat at club meetings, Jolie offering advice and support ever so often. Jolie also part of Gwen's protector as Frederick wandering in the CPC HQ.
Saffron[]
Saffron harbors a minor fear of Jolie, her curse adding to her creepiness factor. She often uses this fear to tease Saffron, like when making him fish the ping pong ball out of her eye socket, or acting mysteriously when he asks about how she got her curse.
Whitney[]
Jolie initially wary over Whitney, as part of Prez' protector when the CPC thoughts that he will attacking but turns out not true. Jolie, along with Nell, are ones that warmed up early with Whitney early as the one that engaging conversation with him at the improptu party as Nell's premonition come to passed. Jolie helps Whitney to disguising himself as non-cursed person with giving him concealer to hides his tiger stripes. Jolie remembers the conversations that she had with Whitney about his favorites - which she concludes as meat, rainwater, and pancreas. Jolie, along with Monika and Abbi decorating Whitney's room in cutesy monochromatic theme so he could feels more welcome at his new home in the CPC. Jolie also part of the CPC that looks so worried after realizing that Whitney suddenly leaving the party of Bippity Bop Gala early.

- There's a running gag where Jolie searches inside her eye sockets to find something that could possibly be useful, which shows how much of a mess her eye sockets are. Jolie's eye socket seems to be the pocket dimension to other world because one of the inside is something that 'biting' Saffron's hand.
- When Saffron asks how her eye sockets work, how she stores things and etc., Jolie simply does not know and suggests to asks The Dealer that might has those answers instead. She could stores lamps and if she climbing over a tree, she could becomes a garden party's lamp that emitting lights from her eye sockets.
- So far, the items inside her eye socket are "mundane" items like: hairpin, knives, cards, puzzle pieces, socks, lamps, candy, key, animal toys like dinosaur, button, thread bundle, eaten cookies, and engagement ring (as shown in Episode 36, the ring among the clutter is the same as the one that she gives to Nell).
- Jolie has allergies (upon in near proximity of flowers), and mentions needing eye drops for them.
- The name Jolie means "pretty" in French, though it is not used as a given name in France.
- Jolie's eyes used to be pale pink before her curse.
- Her parents found her eyes to be gorgeous, with her father even comparing them to their kingdom's future. The Dealer may have wanted Jolie's eyes for this specific reason.
- Jolie has been confirmed by Lambcat to be a demi lesbian. Jolie also the CPC member that LambCat loves the most.
- Her backstory upon thought really puts Jolie's passion for helping and charitable acts into perspective - she believes there is great beauty in charity, and when her Kingdom was ravaged with disaster, the King and Queen sought to do what was good for their people.
