Cursed Princess Wiki

The Monochrome Kingdom is the kingdom of Prince Whitney and his family.

This kingdom used to have an alliance with Polygon Kingdom with the arranged marriage of Whitney and Princess Calpernia, but it was broken up due to the incident of Whitney cursing Calpernia to be a were-spider and being presumed to have eaten him. The entire incident was covered up, and although Whitney was still alive, he only once returned. It is currently being ruled by King Greyden, after he got rid of Whitney and presumably murdered his parents in a similar method as how he got rid of Whitney. Currently, however, the state of the kingdom is unclear after his sister, Princess Blacquelyn, has transformed him into a dog.

Trivia[]

  • Residents of this kingdom do not learn or know their colors which makes them unable to recognize color shades.
    • This is shown with both Whitney and Greyden, the royal brothers of the kingdom.
    • Instead, residents excel at deciphering monochrome shades deciphering, shown in Episode 147 when Whitney perfectly distinguishes "Oxford Grey/Pewter" while playing a game.
  • People there are not raised with the belief or idea of male nurses. Whitney, a prince, had no idea male nurses existed at all when he was young.
  • The names “Whitney”, “Greyden”, and “Blacquelyn”, belonging to the children of the former king and queen of the Monochromatic Kingdom, are puns on "white, grey, and black," all shades of practically the only color throughout the kingdom, therefor making a pun on being monochromatic.
